As part of the Green Templeton College Future of Work Programme we are bringing together leading researchers to consider the ways in which digitalisation and the internet are globally transforming work, employment and labour markets.
This one-day conference features:
- Professor Saskia Sassen (Columbia University) and Professor Linda McDowell (University of Oxford) on digital work and exploitation;
- Professor Guy Standing (SOAS, University of London)and Professor Mark Graham (University of Oxford) on global precarity and the platform economy;
- Professor Kevin Doogan (University of Bristol) and Professor Jill Rubery (University of Manchester) on the fragmentation of working time;
- Dr Brendan Burchell (University of Cambridge) and Dr Vili Lehdonvirta (University of Oxford) on the fragmentation of employment or the rise of digital entrepreneurship.
The conference will be held at the E.P Abraham Lecture Theatre, Green Templeton College, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HG. Registration will open at 9:00 and the conference will run from 10:00-16:30.
